Nintendo Online doesn’t allow its users to exchange text messages

I think mostly to protect young kids

BUT, Nintendo allows you to change your nickname whenever you want without limitation

So, what do my son and his friends do to communicate? Yeah that’s right…

They change their nicknames constantly to tell others they’re opened to game

Or it’d be like “jump in my private session” or “going to my dad’s hometown, can’t play” (it’s shorter in Japanese)

Neat but since they also change their avatar picture constantly, it’s hard to track who’s who if you have a lot of friends on

People always find a way so why make their life so hard to begin with…
