My name is Mathieu Mayer. I'm a software designer based in Kyoto, Japan. You can follow me on mastodon, send me an or follow my website updates via RSS.

This is a perpetually-under-construction website. I use it to give news to my friends, or present some of my work to people in my network. I text myself in messages and give seasonal updates on my now page. I invite you, dear guest, to browse the rest.

I work at a legal company inside a small product team. We are building the software ecosystem with Ruby on Rails. My role spans UX and UI design through to implementation. You can read more about some of my current work here.

When I'm not at work, you'll probably catch me playing RPGs and coop games, doing strength training, chasing fluency in Japanese, taking many walks in & around Kyoto, and exploring parks & playgrounds with my two children. Sometimes I tinker with my websites.
