My name is Mathieu Mayer. I'm a designer and front-end developer based in Kyoto, Japan. You can find me on Github, on the fediverse, or say hi with an .

I work in a small team inside a legal company specialized in family trusts. We built the entire software ecosystem from scratch with Rails, Turbo and Stimulus. My role spans UX and UI design through to front-end implementation.

The suite includes a CRM, a consumer-facing app (think accounting or income/expense tracking, receipt scanning via OCR, trust asset management, yearly report generation), an internal tool for our legal team to generate trust contracts, and a sales app with features like an intuitive family tree builder to create pitch decks for potential customers.

I designed and contributed to the front-end development of all of it.

When I'm not at work, you'll probably catch me playing RPGs and coop games, doing strength training, chasing fluency in Japanese, taking many walks in & around Kyoto, and of course being a dad. Sometimes I tinker with my websites.
